The Online Master of Divinity program of SIBBC&S is a specialized degree tailored for working Christians and those that are involved in Church ministry. The program is meticulously crafted to equip students with essential training in biblical studies, theology, and practical ministry skills, with a particular emphasis on leadership and organizational management. Within the realm of Christian ministry, the curriculum encompasses evangelism, church planting, teaching, preaching, pastoral care and counselling, mentoring in ministry, church administration, as well as leadership and management within church-affiliated organizations.

Duration of the Program

The program's duration varies between 3 and 4 years of consistent online learning, contingent upon factors like the student's course workload, previous coursework and personal performance. Students have the choice of extending their program duration to five years. After a five-year period, students are required to pay the admission fee once more.

The Online Master of Divinity (M.Div.) program is designed to provide a comprehensive and flexible theological education for individuals seeking to deepen their understanding of biblical and theological studies, ministry, and leadership. Through a rigorous curriculum delivered in an online format, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation necessary to excel in various roles within christian churches, organizations, and beyond.

2. Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission into the Online Master of Divinity program, candidates must fulfil the following requirements:

Born-Again Commitment:

- Candidates must demonstrate a born-again commitment and a strong dedication to effectively serving in Christian ministry, along with a sincere desire to deepen their understanding of God's Word.

Educational Qualification:

- Candidates must be at least 25 years old and hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, either in secular or theological education.

- Occasionally, individuals with several years of ministry experience and who are over the age of 30 may be considered, even if they do not possess a bachelor's degree.

Technological Requirements:

- Candidates are required to have access to a personal computer with stable internet connectivity to facilitate online learning.

Spiritual Mentorship:

- Candidates should have a local pastor or a trusted spiritual leader who can serve as a mentor throughout their studies and ministerial development.

Qualifying Examination and Interview:

- Candidates must successfully complete a qualifying examination as part of the admission process. Additionally, they will participate in a personal interview to assess their suitability for the program and alignment with its goals and values.

Submission of Documents:

- Submission of the scanned copies of all transcripts from the student's previous schooling.

- Two letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to the applicant's academic abilities, character, and suitability for graduate theological studies.

- A written statement outlining your reasons for pursuing a Master of Divinity, your theological interests, and your career goals in ministry or related fields.

- A scanned copy of the Aadhar Card and a digital profile image in soft copy format.

Fee Payment:

- A payment of 10,000 rupees, consisting of 2,000 rupees for admission and 8,000 rupees as the first instalment of the yearly fee. (The payment to be made only upon the confirmation of admission).

MISSIONS

In the area of Missions, students will be equipped with the tools and strategies to share the Gospel message effectively. Students will develop skills in engaging diverse audiences, fostering a commitment to evangelistic outreach and discipleship. Students will learn the principles and practices of initiating and establishing new Christian communities. This prepares students to lead and grow emerging congregations, emphasizing innovation, outreach, and sustainable growth. The courses listed below are offered under this subject area.

MINISTRY

The area of Ministry emphasizes the development of pastoral skills, leadership, and care for congregations. Students will be prepared to serve as compassionate and effective pastoral leaders, addressing the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of their communities. Students will be prepared to focus on the cultivation of mentoring relationships within the context of ministry. Students will learn the art of mentoring and discipleship, equipping them to nurture spiritual growth and leadership development in others. Students will be prepared to lead and manage religious organizations and ministries effectively. Students will gain insights into strategic planning, organizational development, and leadership practices within faith-based contexts, fostering excellence in ministry administration. 5. Credit Hours Requirement

Students who have fulfilled the prerequisite credits during their Bachelor of Theology program at an institution accredited by ATA and achieved a minimum grade of 70% are only obligated to complete 72 additional credits. Any prerequisite credits not previously fulfilled must be completed for the successful completion of the program.

On the other hand, students without prior equivalent theological education are required to successfully complete 99 credits to fulfil the program requirements.

7. Fees Structure & Details

Admission Fee: The admission fee for the Master of Divinity Online Degree is a one-time fee that is required upon acceptance into the program. Students will have to pay 2000 rupees and this fee serves as a crucial step in the enrolment process and signifies a student's commitment to pursuing their theological education at our institution.

Tuition Fee: The primary expense associated with your online MDiv program is tuition fee, which includes the expenses related to instruction and academic services. The total annual cost of education is 30,000 rupees. However, the institution subsidizes 20% of this cost for many students. Therefore, the annual tuition fee you will be responsible for amounts to 24,000 rupees (per year).

ATA Registration Fee: Every student desiring an ATA certificate is required to submit a one-time registration fee of 2000 rupees.

Graduation and Transcript Fee: The Graduation and Transcript Fee is a mandatory fee associated with the process of completing your academic program and receiving official transcripts of your academic records. This is a 2000 rupees fee and it covers various administrative costs and services related to your graduation and the issuance of transcripts.

Note: Students will be admitted into the program only upon the successful payment of 10,000 rupees, which comprises a 2,000 rupee admission fee and an first instalment of 8,000 rupees towards the annual fee.

How is the material available online?

- Our online programs are delivered using Moodle, a learning management system. Once a student is in their respective course, they can access lectures, PowerPoints, assignments, readings, documents, videos, links, discussion boards, etc.

Is there interaction with other online students?

- Yes, you will have interaction with other students who are attending the same courses along with you. There is quite a bit of interaction between other students through virtual meetings, group assignments, online discussion forums.

What is a typical schedule for an online course?

- A single course will typically run for 5 to 7 weeks based on its credit weightage.

What can I do if I don’t understand an assignment or have some questions?

- If you don’t understand an assignment you can ask questions for clarification so you don’t fall behind. Facilitators make themselves available to students via email, WhatsApp, virtual office hours, and conference calls.

How are online classes graded?

- Online courses are graded just like classroom courses. Critical thinking is expected of students. Standard assignments include reading the course texts and additional materials, reading reports, active participation in online discussions, quizzes, exams, writing papers, etc.
